We are working with a highly reputable firm that is on the lookout for a skilled Managing Building Surveyor to join their vibrant team in Bristol. Responsibilities of the Managing Building Surveyor:
You'll play a pivotal role in project delivery and client relationships, bringing your technical and commercial expertise to:

1. Lead and support a range of refurbishment, modernisation, and improvement projects.
2. Carry out feasibility studies, prepare specifications, secure statutory approvals, and manage contracts.
3. Apply your knowledge of JCT and NEC building contracts across diverse projects.
4. Mentor and support junior surveyors through their APC, helping shape the future of the profession.
5. Conduct surveys, inspections, and schedules across regional schemes, ensuring quality and compliance.
6. Manage and grow client relationships, contributing to business development and bid submissions.
7. Supervise junior staff and assist senior managers in delivering key services.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Building Surveying or RICS-accredited equivalent. Chartered status is essential or highly desirable.
2. Proven experience in building surveying, with solid technical knowledge and a strong commercial mindset.
3. A confident leader and mentor, experienced in managing teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Expertise in drafting technical documentation, from asset reviews to feasibility studies and detailed specifications.
5. Strong working knowledge of H&S and statutory compliance in project and asset management.
6. Additional professional skills such as dilapidations, party wall matters, fire risk, or access assessments are a plus.
7. Clear communicator, team player, and a self-starter with excellent time management.
