Qualifications

• 6+ PQE; qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent jurisdiction)
• Strong academic record; trained at a leading law firm
• Experience in media litigation, reputation protection, defamation, privacy, confidentiality, harassment, or data protection highly desirable
• Candidates from other litigation backgrounds with demonstrable interest in specialising in media litigation/reputation protection encouraged
• Must possess high emotional intelligence, resilience, excellent organisational skills, commercial awareness, and ability to manage complex, high-pressure crisis situations for high-profile clients

Responsibilities

• Operate as a hands-on media litigator with immediate autonomy
• Supervise junior fee-earners and manage matter finances
• Own client relationships during high-pressure crises
• Support clients on on-call rota for media enquiries and crises
• Draft complaints to IPSO, Ofcom, ASA, ICO; navigate reporting restrictions
• Collaborate across Mishcon Private with other teams (e.g., Fraud, White Collar, Cyber Investigations)
