Managing Associate - Projects, Infrastructure & Construction (Energy and Infrastructure). We are recruiting for a Managing Associate to join our Projects, Infrastructure & Construction team (PIC) based in Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham or Glasgow. This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced energy and infrastructure lawyer.

PIC has expertise across sectors including energy (solar, wind, nuclear), utilities, civil engineering, real estate development, and infrastructure. Our broad client base includes real estate developers, energy and utilities companies, developers, funders, and public sector organizations.

The team has experienced significant growth and offers opportunities for rapid progression. It comprises approximately 34 people, including support staff and lawyers, with eight partners, across offices in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, London, and Glasgow. The team fosters a collaborative and respectful environment, encouraging individual ambition and professional development.

Your Role

  • Lead client work in the energy and infrastructure sectors on complex contracts with Partner support
  • Delegate to and support Senior Associates, Associates, Trainees, and Paralegals
  • Develop strong relationships with clients
  • Assist the Partner team with tenders
  • Participate in business development activities
  • Supervise junior team members
  • Contribute to strategic planning and business development

Your Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered or equivalent), 7+ PQE, capable of working independently
  • Experience in energy and infrastructure sectors, familiar with industry standard forms and project-related matters
  • Creative, analytical, organized, self-motivated, able to manage workloads and deadlines
  • Client-focused with relationship-building skills
  • Experience supervising junior team members
  • Ambitious to succeed and develop within the firm, aligning with its values
