Job Description:

We are recruiting for an experienced Planning lawyer to join our national Future Energy, Planning & Environment team at Managing Associate/Legal Director level. This role can be based in any UK office and is offered on a fully flexible working basis to accommodate part or full-time hours.

Your Role

As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on planning issues, applications, and appeals, especially in transport and renewable energy sectors.
  • Advising on nationally significant infrastructure projects.
  • Handling consenting aspects of offshore wind projects.
  • Collaborating with other office locations.
  • Supervising and managing junior team members.
  • Supporting business development and maintaining client relationships.
  • Participating in the expansion of the DCO practice.
  • Engaging in Planning Know-How sessions.
Your Skills and Experience

We seek:

  • A qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) with 7+ years PQE.
  • Experience with Development Consent Orders and NSIP advising.
  • Experience with public and private sector clients, understanding local authority governance is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with self-motivation and deadline management.
  • Commercial awareness and some business development exposure.
  • A focus on understanding client needs and fostering team development.
