Job Title: Managing Agent / Property Manager
Location: London, Greater London
Contract Type: Temporary (8-week assignment)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Pay Rate: PAYE: £21.92 per hour

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking an experienced and proactive Managing Agent / Property Manager to support one of our London-based clients on a temporary basis. This critical role focuses on managing superior landlord relationships and ensuring compliant, resident-focused property management across a portfolio.

Please Note: Candidates must have proven experience in reviewing and acting upon lease agreements. Applicants without this will not be considered due to previous rejections for this reason. Ensure this expertise is clearly detailed in your CV or application.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary liaison with superior landlords and managing agents to ensure compliance with lease obligations and the consistent delivery of high-quality services.
  • Interpret detailed leasehold agreements and ensure all service delivery meets legal and contractual requirements.
  • Review, assess, and challenge service charge demands to ensure accuracy and fairness.
  • Oversee the Section 20 consultation process, including communication with residents and resolving disputes.
  • Gather and maintain building safety and compliance documentation from all relevant parties.
  • Produce performance reports and support KPI tracking for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to service improvement projects and cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Identify and manage risks across operational and financial areas.
  • Handle resident enquiries and complaints professionally to support improved Tenancy Satisfaction Measures (TSMs).
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate property records across all internal systems.
  • Champion a resident-first approach in all areas of service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in leasehold and property management, ideally within housing associations or local authorities.

  • Sound knowledge of landlord-tenant legislation, Section 20 procedures, and service charge regulations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and property management systems.
