Director - Eximius Finance (Accounting and Finance recruitment)

I am currently working with a top-tier hedge fund in London's West End, seeking a manager/VP level candidate to lead their EMEA EMG - emerging markets and credit PC team. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. The business operates a 4-day in-office policy.

The team comprises 3 qualified accountants. Your responsibilities will include supervising and overseeing P&L production, monthly NAV finalisation, and core controls. You will also lead various process improvement projects. The team works closely with trading desks, so strong engagement skills with Front Office stakeholders, Portfolio Managers, and Traders are essential. Collaboration with IPV, Risk, Operations, and COO teams is also required.

This is a rare opportunity to join a top-tier firm that has significantly improved work-life balance under new leadership; team members are rarely in the office past 6:30 pm.

We are looking for:

The ideal candidate is an experienced Product Controller from a major bank or hedge fund, with London market experience and the right to work in the UK. Experience in strategic change initiatives and a strong understanding of control environments, especially in Emerging Markets, is preferred. Demonstrated experience in managing a team is essential.

Desirable, but not essential, experience includes:

• Experience with visualization tools, ETL tools, and/or Python
• Exposure to multiple asset classes
• Understanding of Valuation control/IPV processes and NAV accounting
• Strong academic qualifications

You should be a self-starter capable of working independently, prioritising tasks across various timescales, and excited about building a best-in-class Product Control function and leading a high-performing team.
