Our national corporate tax service line supports a wide range of businesses with tax compliance and advisory services, fostering a culture of individuality, collaboration, and positive change to drive success for both our people and clients. Due to sustained success and growth, we are investing in the Corporate Tax Team in the North West, where you will work within RSM's national and international network of tax professionals.

As a Tax Dispute Resolution Manager in our Manchester office, you will work with businesses, individuals, and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to resolve issues related to tax disputes and enquiries. You will leverage your technical expertise and experience to achieve successful outcomes in our clients' interactions with HMRC.

You will make an impact by:

1. Managing relationships with a portfolio of clients and acting as their main point of contact.
2. Providing high-quality Tax Dispute Resolution services in collaboration with colleagues, addressing queries from other RSM teams.
3. Working closely with your team to deliver clear solutions to administrative and analytical issues related to HMRC enquiries, while maintaining quality standards.
4. Collaborating with Partners, Directors, and Associate Directors on business development activities.
5. Mentoring junior staff and supporting their development.

• CTA or ATII qualification, or equivalent, ideally with an accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
• Experience communicating (written and verbal) with HMRC is preferred but not essential.
• Proven client management experience with a busy portfolio, managing deadlines and delegation.
• Ability to develop and mentor junior team members.
• Strong analytical, computational, and report-writing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
• Confidence liaising with internal and external clients.
