Job summary

Interpath Advisory in the United Kingdom is hiring a senior corporate and transaction tax professional to join our growing practice in Birmingham. You will take ownership of tax assignments, lead due diligence, structuring work, and provide commercially focused advice across acquisitions, restructurings, and disposals.

You will mentor junior team members, manage client relationships, and collaborate with colleagues across restructuring, debt advisory, and transaction services to deliver

Qualifications

  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent Chartered Accountant qualification.
  • CTA qualified or qualified through an equivalent professional tax qualification.
  • Strong UK Corporate Tax experience within a professional services, tax advisory, or accounting environment.
  • Experience in transaction tax, including tax due diligence, M&A transactions, acquisitions, disposals, and corporate restructurings.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation and its practical application.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality advisory work.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines.
  • Experience managing and developing junior team members.
  • Proactive commercial mindset and a desire to grow the practice.
  • Experience with private equity-backed, mid-market or multinational clients is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Managing transaction tax assignments, including tax due diligence, transaction structuring, and tax risk assessments for acquisitions and disposals.
  • Advising clients on corporate reorganisations, group restructurings, refinancing transactions, and other strategic projects.
  • Supporting restructuring and insolvency engagements by providing commercially focused tax advice.
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor on tax matters.
  • Overseeing the preparation and review of technical tax analyses, reports, and client deliverables.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across restructuring, debt advisory, and transaction services teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Managing project delivery, budgets, and timelines across multiple engagements.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior members of the team to support a high-performance culture.
  • Supporting business development initiatives, preparing proposals, identifying opportunities, and contributing to thought leadership activities.

This role will provide exposure to a broad range of UK corporate tax and transaction tax matters, while offering the opportunity to take ownership of projects, develop junior team members, and contribute to the growth of the practice.

Requirements
