What is the Opportunity?

We have an excellent opportunity to manage the Supervision and Oversight team in our London office on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will support key stakeholders across Wealth Management Europe (WME), dealing with quality assurance activities and associated tasks, improving processes and supporting the reduction of risk.

RBC’s expectation is that from mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?

  • Manage a team of 2 who perform the control testing on a daily basis
  • Assist the team when required with supporting the control testing, quality control and procedure testing of WME activities.
  • Enhance the existing controls monitoring/quality assurance programme to ensure accurate and efficient review of controls takes place within the team.
  • Work with key business stakeholders to build the controls programme ensuring key risks from around the business are captured.
  • Communicate key findings to stakeholders throughout WME where issues identified and provide solutions in order to resolve identified control failures.
  • Review policies and procedures as required to identify and document improvements, whilst engaging with other business partners to ensure consistency and alignment with the WME structure.
  • Key support to the team, demonstrating confidence and knowledge in providing advice to business areas; provide coaching to build skills within own team and other departments within the bank.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Proven experience in people management, to include coaching, talent management and performance management.
  • Proven, in-depth knowledge and experience within supervision, oversight, risk or quality assurance role.
  • Knowledge of the principles of operational risk and quality assurance particularly in relation to regulatory or client-focused risks.
  • Ability to work with large data sets from multiple sources and analyse data to draw conclusions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including ability to present findings to business heads, risk committees etc.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience within a Wealth Management firm
  • Previous/existing knowledge of RBC Values and Culture.
