Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced technical leader to coach, develop, and collaborate with customer-facing Solutions Architects supporting Enterprise and Media & Entertainment clients in the UK.

The role involves developing top-tier Solutions Architects by enhancing their skills in best practices, solution presentation, and creating value-driven architectures of varying complexity.

You will work with sales to shape and implement strategies that create innovative, customer-focused business outcomes. You must be technically credible and effective in developing your team's customer and solutions skills, staying updated with new technologies to guide customers in transformational change. Thought leadership and understanding the value of technology at scale are essential.

You will interact with various departments within AWS and represent your team to executive management. Experience in building and leading distributed teams of solutions architects in large enterprises is preferred. Customer-facing experience is required, ideally from roles as a leader or technologist. AWS experience is a plus but not mandatory if you have worked in complex virtualized environments.

Key job responsibilities

• Partner with account management to formulate and execute customer-focused strategies for AWS adoption.
• Hire, onboard, train, and develop Solutions Architects.
• Coach Solutions Architects on technical training sessions for transferring deep technical skills to customers.
• Educate customers and their leaders on AWS's value proposition and participate in architectural discussions for successful cloud deployment.
• Guide the development of customer-facing guidance such as whitepapers and data sheets.
• Serve as a liaison between customers, engineering teams, and support.
