Role: Manager, SMB Sales

This role involves leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Account Executives and Sales Development Representatives focused on acquiring new SMB business through inside sales, technical demos, and deal support. You will drive a high-performance culture, develop KPIs, monitor results, and ensure sales goals are met or exceeded. This is an opportunity to thrive in sales management and contribute significantly to revenue generation. The position reports to the Senior Director, Sales EMEA, based in London.

What you'll do:

  1. Lead a team to develop and meet/exceed sales quotas, generating new revenue.
  2. Attract, hire, and retain high-performing sales talent.
  3. Foster a performance-driven culture.
  4. Coach and develop team members for current success and future growth.
  5. Provide training on Deputy’s products, industry, and sales best practices.
  6. Guide team in pipeline development and prioritization.
  7. Participate in sales calls, coaching, and deal closure support.
  8. Conduct call and presentation reviews.
  9. Review pipeline and deals regularly, aiding in negotiations and strategies.
  10. Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure lead quality and follow-up.
  11. Analyze performance data and provide forecasts and reports to leadership.
  12. Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  13. Manage sales team operations during regional leader’s absence when needed.

What we're looking for:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
  2. 5+ years in quota-carrying SaaS sales.
  3. 3+ years of sales management experience.
  4. Experience in self-prospecting or SDR leadership roles.
  5. Proven success in hiring and developing sales reps.
  6. Experience with product demos, email, and social selling.
  7. Knowledge of sales methodologies.
  8. Consistent record of exceeding quotas as an individual contributor.
  9. Experience with Salesforce.
  10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  11. Grit and determination to drive growth and overcome challenges.
