Description
The ATP Partnerships & Business Development department is the commercial arm of the ATP, the governing body of men’s professional tennis. The primary role of this position is to deliver revenue from commercial sponsorships for the ATP Challenger Tour. This position is based in London. The Manager reports to the VP, Partnerships with a dotted line to the VP, Challenger Tour.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Meet and exceed ATP Challenger Tour sales targets set by leadership
- Develop a pipeline by category in conjunction with ATP commercial team
- Conduct research and gather data for pitching purposes
- Develop presentation decks & help with pitching to potential prospects
- Manage and track available inventory of assets
- Create bespoke packages that meet new prospects needs
- Delivery and monitoring of sponsorand licensee contractual benefits
- Coordination of sponsor activation initiatives (media/digital promotions, special events)
- Internal, tournament and player coordination during on-site sponsor servicing
- Act as liaison for ATP Challenger tournaments
Account Management
- Daily management of sponsors
- Reporting & Analysis
- Budget management
- Support licensing agreements
Strategic Input & New Business Development
- Provide input and execute against ATP Challenger Tour Commercial Strategy
- Identify new business opportunities and bring leads to table
- Gather market intelligence and follow sponsorship trends
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 5-10 years experience in sales & sponsorship management with a rights holder, governing body, sports marketing agency, team, league or event
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- A minimum of two fluent languages, with English as a priority
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required, Photoshop a bonus
- Digital and social media platforms savvy
- Teamwork skills and flexibility are essential
- Experience working and multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Self-starter who can work independently within set objectives
- A Bachelor degree in Business or Event management
- International travel that may be on short notice
