We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of our vibrant Indian restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Indian cuisine, strong leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role demands a hands-on approach to team management, food service operations, and maintaining high standards in food safety and hospitality. Responsibilities

  1. Supervise and oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure seamless service and adherence to company standards.
  2. Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house staff to foster a respectful, high-performance team culture.
  3. Ensure all Indian dishes (including biryanis, tandoori items, curries, and street food specialties) are prepared and served according to quality standards.
  4. Monitor compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, especially around spice handling, marination, and tandoor usage.
  5. Manage inventory, including sourcing and ordering Indian spices, ingredients, and kitchen supplies.
  6. Implement and manage POS systems for accurate billing, order processing, and reporting.
  7. Address guest concerns, feedback, and complaints professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  8. Analyze sales and operations data to improve service quality, reduce waste, and enhance profitability.
  9. Collaborate with the culinary team on seasonal menu planning and introducing new Indian dishes based on customer trends and preferences.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing or supervising teams in the Indian restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a hands-on management style.
  • Deep understanding of Indian food, cultural dining preferences, and traditional preparation methods.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best kitchen practices.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and restaurant operational tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Job Details

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: $21.62 - $23.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Every Weekend, Monday to Friday
  • Location: Surrey, BC (On-site)
