We are a newly established children's residential home located in Sandwell, committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for vulnerable children and young people. Our aim is to create a high-quality, homely setting that promotes emotional well-being, stability, and personal development. As we prepare for our initial Ofsted registration and inspection, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced manager to lead our home with compassion, professionalism, and integrity.

Role Description

As the Care Home Manager, you will play a critical role in the development and launch of our service. You will be responsible for the operational management of the home, staff recruitment and training, policy development, and Ofsted readiness

Qualifications

  • Lead the setup and registration process of the home with Ofsted.
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
  • Prepare and lead the team through initial Ofsted inspections.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a dedicated care team.
  • Develop care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child or young person.
  • Promote a culture of safeguarding, resilience, and empowerment.
  • Maintain excellent records, policies, and procedures.
  • Build positive relationships with external agencies, families, and local authorities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Registered Manager in a children's residential care setting.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children's home legislation.
  • Proven track record of leading successful Ofsted inspections.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Passionate about making a difference in young people's lives.
