The jobholder will be part of the Europe Controller’s group within Mastercard Europe’s Finance division. The primary responsibility will be overseeing Rebates & Incentives for a division within Europe. This position reports to the Director of Controlling and is based in London.
The role involves ensuring the timely and accurate accounting treatment of all customer business agreements related to revenue recognition and contra-revenue (rebates and incentives), in partnership with the GBSC (Shared Services Centre), ensuring compliance with Mastercard policies, internal controls, and US GAAP.
The position will support the business in generating customer business agreements and serve as an advisor to the account teams. The jobholder will contribute to both financial and commercial processes and collaborate closely with departments such as FP&A, Business Development Finance, Legal, GBSC, Account Managers, and Regional Finance.
Responsibilities include reviewing Rebates & Incentive reporting for stakeholders (notably the Corporate Controllers Group in NY), overseeing the month-end process managed by GBSC, assisting with ad hoc accounting queries, supporting the delivery of performance metrics reports, performing SOX controls, and ensuring compliance and process documentation.
