Job description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Manager to join our dynamic and fast-growing Real Estate Corporate Tax team. You will play a key role in managing the corporate tax affairs of a diverse and expanding portfolio of real estate clients as well as getting involved in advisory and transactions projects.

The role
You will deliver a mix of tax advisory and compliance services to a varied client base, including REITs, large property groups, real estate funds, partnerships, and non-resident landlords. While our clients are primarily London-based, the role offers exposure to businesses across the UK.

Key responsibilities include:
• Managing tax compliance and advisory matters for real estate clients.
• Managing tax compliance and advisory matters for REITs including the preparation and review of REIT financial statements and other REIT compliance.
• Providing tax planning and advisory services in areas such as group structuring, property tax planning, NRCGT elections and capital allowances.
• Supporting senior leadership with transactional assignments, including tax structuring and due diligence reports, while coordinating input from specialist teams.
• Supervising and developing junior team members, delegating work effectively and providing coaching and guidance.
• Assisting in the management of client accounts and contributing to the development of new business opportunities.

You

We're looking for someone with a strong real estate corporate tax background and a proactive, commercial mindset. The successful candidate will have:

• Demonstrated experience managing tax matters real estate structures, preferably with REIT experience.
• Confidence in delivering client-facing tax advice, with strong technical knowledge across a broad range of corporate tax areas.
• Experience managing and reviewing the work of junior staff, with a commitment to mentoring and development.
• The ability to collaborate closely with Partners and senior team members on both compliance and complex advisory projects.
• A flexible, team-oriented attitude, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on their own initiative.
• Applicants should be preferably CTA and/or ACA qualified.
• Strong working knowledge of UK corporate tax, specifically within the real estate sector.

The team
Our Real Estate Corporate Tax team comprises 2 Partners, a Director and a growing team of Senior Managers, Managers, and Trainees. We support a broad spectrum of property businesses and are expanding rapidly, both in London and nationwide.
