Job description

Job Title:

Manager, Product Commercialization

Overview:

Manager, Commercialisation, Europe

Overview

The global business-to-business (B2B) payment market is valued at approximately USD 120 trillion. Most transactions occur on non-card rails, representing significant growth opportunities for Mastercard’s Corporate Solutions. The European Commercialisation Team is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to retain, grow, and expand Mastercard's commercial footprint in the region. This involves formulating market strategies, developing relevant products and solutions, packaging these products, articulating the value proposition to issuers and their customers, and optimizing the go-to-market process.

The Commercialisation Manager will support the European region by accelerating the deployment of corporate payment solutions based on customer needs and business opportunities. Reporting to the Head of Commercialisation, this role involves driving strategic selling, supporting sales, managing and enhancing commercial solutions, engaging with stakeholders to achieve revenue targets, and supporting Mastercard's growth in the commercial payment space.

Role

  1. Work with key stakeholders to identify and develop new market segments, driving expansion and increasing market share.
  2. Enable and implement end-to-end strategies for commercial solutions rollout and adoption. Support markets with analysis and case studies to demonstrate product value.
  3. Partner with business development and account teams to support strategic selling processes from opportunity identification to customer commitments and go-to-market execution.
  4. Identify and develop strategies to maximize revenue from existing and new customers.
  5. Execute and support commercialization plans in key markets, targeting defined revenue opportunities.
  6. Contribute to product growth and expansion strategies.
  7. Lead by example, demonstrating product management excellence and sharing best practices.
  8. Manage stakeholders across functions such as go-to-market, customer success, engineering, legal, compliance, finance, marketing, and sales to define successful solutions.
  9. Identify new use cases for Mastercard's commercial solutions and explore potential distribution and technology partners.
  10. Drive thought leadership through marketing, communications, and event engagement.

All About You

  • Extensive experience in commercial payments and financial services, focusing on growth, market development, and revenue optimization.
  • Advanced understanding of B2B and T&E payment flows, business needs, purchase-to-pay processes, and card economics.
  • Highly collaborative, self-driven, with strong relationship management skills across multiple functions.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects and delivering results under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in consultative sales, relationship management, and product management within the payments industry, preferably with a background in commercial issuing.
  • Knowledge of product management tools (market plans, project timelines, research, pricing, business cases).
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to senior management and partners.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and articulate them clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Fluency in English & French is required; additional languages are highly desirable.
