Job Description:

This role involves working as a Manager in the private client tax team, focusing on tax advisory and compliance services for a diverse client portfolio. The position requires collaboration in the office three times a week in Manchester, Leeds, or Harrogate.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing tax returns, managing HMRC inquiries, overseeing compliance clients, monitoring deadlines, and managing billing and budgets.
  • Training and mentoring trainees and seniors, and participating in technical training sessions.
  • Supporting staff and partners with chargeable and non-chargeable work.
  • Ensuring compliance with deadlines and procedures, and handling administrative tasks.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Significant private client tax experience within professional services or industry.
  • Technical expertise in complex client work.
  • Experience in managing people.
  • Interest in developing business development skills.
  • Strong IT skills.

Educational and professional qualifications:

  • Relevant professional qualifications (CTA and/or ACA).

Key competencies:

  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise staff and support partners.
  • Maintaining technical knowledge and providing solutions.
