Job description

Catholic Charities Worcester County is seeking a Manager of Maintenance & Working Program to join our team!

The Facilities and Work Program Manager is responsible for overseeing, administering, and maintaining all Catholic Charities properties, including facility operations, repairs, and construction projects. This role also leads the agency’s Work Program, which provides job skills training and work experience for participants in our Crozier House residential substance abuse treatment program.

This position ensures facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained, while providing supervision, mentorship, and instruction to Work Program participants. The role collaborates with internal leadership, vendors, and contractors to manage space utilization, plan renovations, support expansions, and oversee facility closures as needed.

Essential Duties:

• Oversee daily operations and long-term planning for all agency facilities.
• Lead all phases of facility maintenance and construction projects, including cost estimates, project timelines, and vendor coordination.
• Supervise facilities staff and Work Program participants, ensuring adequate coverage and quality work.
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to support skill development and workforce reentry.
• Coordinate with program leadership to align the Work Program with participant goals and agency mission.
• Monitor facilities for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, work assignments, and project progress.
• Develop and manage budgets related to maintenance, repairs, and construction.
• Assist with planning for new site acquisition, space reallocation, and building closures or consolidations.
• Follow safety protocols and promote a culture of safety.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of facilities management or maintenance experience, including staff supervision.
• Experience working with vulnerable or at-risk populations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including individuals in recovery.
• Knowledge of building systems, maintenance protocols, and OSHA safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor as needed, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

This is a full-time, salaried position with an expected pay range of $62,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Eligible for agency benefits listed below.
