Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager directs and manages the activities of the Maintenance department. They are responsible for planning and managing all activities of the Maintenance roadmap and processes, establishing priorities, and coordinating activities to ensure optimal performance of the facility and related tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Technical Services Manager for CAPEX projects for the growth and expansion of facilities capabilities.
  • Manage the inventory of machine tools and equipment spare parts, including consignment and crib programs.
  • Implement service contracts and OEM strategies to promote 100% uptime of machines.
  • Manage Team Leaders and planners; responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and resolving complaints.
  • Establish the capital budget for equipment replacement and the overall maintenance budget for machine tools.
  • Ensure the factory has the correct tools and documentation to meet sales volume plans.
  • Manage all rental and leasing activities concerning production, tooling, and equipment.
  • Oversee maintenance, performance, and service agreements with external suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and legislations.
  • Support the facilities safety systems, including fire suppression, alarms, and coordination of ERT teams.
  • Maintain and upgrade the EAM system, including measurement, reporting, and work order system.
  • Coordinate the TPM program, including safety stock, forecasting, OEE, and training.
  • Conduct long-term planning and strategy development for machine tools and facility equipment.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar field, electrical or mechanical disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience.
  • Proven ability to manage teams directly and indirectly.
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in manufacturing environments working with TPM and predictive maintenance programs, with demonstrated ability to manage financial KPIs or utilize OEE methodology.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Project management skills, including budgeting and change management.
  • Strategic ability regarding equipment reliability, service contracts, and performance.
  • Effective coaching skills for subordinates.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents in English.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
  • Ability to read schematics, 3-D CAD drawings, and contracts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and MS Project.
