Job Description

As the Manager - LEAN, you will manage the implementation, administration, and measurement of LEAN programs, including Six Sigma initiatives. You will enable teams by providing training, tools, and logistical support for quality initiatives. Your role involves developing sustainable solutions based on the PDCA (Planning, Doing, Checking, Acting) approach, promoting LEAN cultural transformation, and coaching LEAN principles at various organizational levels. You will oversee the development of testing tools, measurement methods, and systems to ensure product and service quality standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Drive deployment and execution of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Achieve world-class standards in visual management across WESCO facilities, offices, and functions.
  • Establish partnerships with suppliers and customers to enhance continuous improvement across the value stream.
  • Mentor senior leadership, including vice presidents and directors, on LEAN leadership and promotion.
  • Provide updates to executive management.
  • Develop WESCO associates to be self-sufficient in continuous improvement tools.
  • Promote LEAN thinking and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support LEAN self-sufficiency through tools like goal deployment, daily management, and VoC.
  • Encourage innovative thinking to improve processes, service, efficiency, inventory, costs, and space.
  • Assist in developing LEAN leaders through coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Guide field teams to meet performance objectives.
  • Lead team-based kaizen events.
  • Select and apply appropriate LEAN tools.
  • Align activities with safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals; perform root cause analysis and identify waste.
  • Manage kaizen results and action plans.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred certifications: PMP, Change Management, Scrum Master.
  • Minimum 6 years of extensive LEAN leadership experience in medium or large companies.
  • Proven track record as a LEAN leader or Six Sigma Black Belt managing strategic programs.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in cultural change toward continuous improvement.
  • Solid project management and kaizen event experience.
  • Strong analytical, process orientation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and LEAN tools.
  • Willingness to travel 25-50%.
