This role involves managing the day-to-day operation of Platform security controls within the Audit Data Solutions team, with a focus on Azure technologies. You will coordinate with the Security Architecture & Advisory team to ensure security processes align with KPMG’s frameworks, policies, and standards, and collaborate on vulnerability and incident management.

In this Security Engineer role, you will manage multiple workstreams, supporting secure development and deployment of Azure solutions, participating in security audits, and improving security measures within Clara Data Solutions. You will play a key role in strengthening our systems against threats, ensuring security resilience, and fostering security awareness across the organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining Platform security processes in line with KPMG’s trust and verify framework.
  • Supporting the development of security processes and automated tools to prevent issues.
  • Conducting threat modeling exercises.
  • Performing security code reviews and supporting penetration testing.
  • Overseeing vulnerability remediation and managing logging for SOC monitoring.
  • Leading incident response and managing escalations related to security issues.
  • Promoting cloud security principles and collaborating with security teams.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of security controls in Azure environments.
  • Experience developing cloud applications with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred).
  • Knowledge of securing containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience securing APIs and web applications.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and automated security checks.
  • Familiarity with Git and modern programming languages (Java, Python, Go, JavaScript).
  • Awareness of common cloud security vulnerabilities and mitigations.
  • Excellent communication skills and proactive problem-solving abilities.

  • Cybersecurity Architect Expert SC-100
  • Security Operations Analyst SC-200
  • Microsoft and Access Administrator SC-300
