Job description

DSV is recruiting for a Key Account Manager at Mercia Park. This role reports to the Senior Key Account Manager and is responsible for leading a team to provide high-quality service to customers based out of Mercia Park. The Key Account Manager supports the site management team in maintaining high customer retention, proactively addressing operational and strategic customer needs, and seeking service improvements, cost savings, and revenue growth through value-added services.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Establishing and reviewing service expectations and performance measures.
  2. Managing direct relationships with customers, supporting operational and financial aspects.
  3. Understanding customer business needs and integrating departmental solutions.
  4. Recruiting, training, developing, and supervising personnel associated with assigned accounts.
  5. Promoting DSV’s reputation through professional communication and team briefings.
  6. Developing personal knowledge of supply chain processes and maintaining operational procedures.
  7. Collaborating with Business Development and Global Account Management Teams to grow customer base.
  8. Creating and maintaining business plans aligned with company objectives.
  9. Ensuring compliance with company policies, legislative requirements, and confidentiality.
  10. Supporting site P&L management.
  11. Maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards, and adhering to quality assurance systems.
  12. Ensuring good housekeeping and site security.
  13. Participating in development training programs.

Experience required:

  • Profit and loss financial management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of warehouse processes and systems
  • Customer service experience
  • Management and leadership skills
  • IT skills, including spreadsheets and databases

Skills and competencies:

  • Minimum 4 GCSEs or equivalent
  • At least 3 years in a relevant account management or customer service role
