DSV is recruiting for a Key Account Manager at Mercia Park. This role reports to the Senior Key Account Manager and is responsible for leading a team to provide high-quality service to customers based out of Mercia Park. The Key Account Manager supports the site management team in maintaining high retention rates and acts as a customer advocate, seeking service improvements, cost savings, and revenue growth through value-added services.
Responsibilities include:
- Establishing and reviewing service expectations and performance metrics.
- Managing relationships with customers, supporting operational and financial aspects.
- Understanding customer business needs and integrating departmental solutions.
- Recruiting, training, and developing personnel, ensuring performance standards and employee engagement.
- Promoting DSV's professional image and maintaining effective communication.
- Developing personal knowledge of supply chain processes and maintaining operational procedures.
- Collaborating with business development teams to recruit new customers and expand existing accounts.
- Developing business plans aligned with company objectives and KPIs.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, legislative requirements, and confidentiality.
- Supporting site P&L management and maintaining health, safety, and quality standards.
- Participating in training and development activities.
Experience required:
- Profit and loss financial management experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse processes and management systems.
- Customer service passion and management skills.
- Team leadership and motivation abilities.
- IT proficiency, especially with spreadsheets and databases.
- Analytical, numerical, and detail-oriented skills.
Skills and competencies:
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent.
- At least 3 years in account management or customer service roles.
- Financial reporting and budgeting awareness.
- Leadership qualities with a positive, motivated attitude.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
