Role purpose:
The purpose of the role is to enable the growth of the Central Operations teams and contribute to investigative and intelligence led strategies addressing key illicit trade issues in support of Regions and Markets.
The role involves managing a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, requiring strong coordination and collaboration. The candidate must be able to manage large volumes of information from different sources and be competent at summarizing complex findings and tailoring the output to suit different audiences. It remains critical that the candidate can be objective and understand both specificities in individual cases as well as the wider context of illicit trade operations.
Additionally, risk assessment and critical thinking are core components of the role, that will enable the ITP function to detect and analyse illicit trade incidents at a global level. Mapping changing modus operandi and compiling comprehensive intelligence packages for use with external stakeholders is critical to influencing change and supporting illicit trade disruption. In certain cases, a policy or regulatory approach is required, and therefore strengthening public-private partnerships to implement supply chain controls and protect consumers remains fundamental.
