Job Overview

We are seeking a Manager of Instructional Design, Clinical Product and Training to create impactful internal and external educational and training materials. This individual will develop a range of clinical product training materials for both internal teams and external users, including instructor-led training, e-learnings, job aids, and professional educational materials for people with diabetes.

The Manager will work closely with subject matter experts, trainers, and stakeholders to produce engaging, accessible training experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience in instructional design, strong attention to detail, excellent collaboration skills, knowledge of diabetes and health literacy, and a passion for creating innovative educational materials aligned with organizational goals and branding.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  1. Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to develop clinical product training materials.
  2. Manage the full development lifecycle of training materials, including needs assessment, design (storyboarding, scripting, sourcing images, facilitator notes), and final production.
  3. Create training materials such as instructor-led presentations in PowerPoint, job aids in PDF, and e-learning modules in Articulate Rise and Storyline.
  4. Develop external educational materials for people with diabetes, including print and video content.
  5. Ensure materials adhere to health literacy best practices for clarity and ease of understanding.
  6. Collaborate with the marketing team to produce branded external materials.
  7. Assist digital designers with scripting, storyboarding, and video editing.
  8. Work with stakeholders to produce cohesive educational experiences.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or related field, or 3+ years of relevant experience in the medical device industry.
  • Portfolio demonstrating design documents and training assets (slide decks, e-learning, job aids, handouts).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and collaboration skills.
  • Experience partnering with subject matter experts and understanding training best practices.
  • Proficiency in full development lifecycle for training materials.
  • Basic to intermediate graphic design skills with Adobe Suite.
  • Intermediate video editing skills, with willingness to learn Adobe Premiere.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Passion for engaging, impactful educational experiences.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and diabetes is strongly preferred.

Position Details

This is a remote position with occasional travel to the Manchester, NH office for meetings.
