Position: Manager of Information Security at Cirium

As the Manager of Information Security for Cirium, you will be responsible for protecting information systems and assets, identifying and addressing potential and actual security issues, and leveraging your management experience. This role is both tactical and strategic. You will report to the VP of Technology and be a key member of the Tech Leadership Team (TLT).

Responsibilities

1. Providing strategic and technical security direction for multiple stakeholder teams in the UK and India.
2. Managing your team and driving the organization towards a high-performance security culture.
3. Evangelizing incident processes, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and Disaster Recovery practices to ensure awareness and support across teams.
4. Utilizing experience in migrating businesses and teams to industry security best practices and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
5. Identifying opportunities for improvement and standardization of technology, risk registers, and security dashboards, working with business and tech stakeholders to deliver valuable initiatives.
6. Tracking and reporting on the progress of security projects and initiatives to senior leadership using a data-driven approach.

Requirements

1. Experience in solving complex information security concerns in both technical and strategic roles, with the ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
2. Ability to work with teams building platform components securely, applying risk mitigation strategies aligned with business goals to deliver large-scale security projects.
3. Experience managing and coaching teams to success, influencing security best practices with engineering managers, directors, and C-level staff.
4. Proven ability to demand deliverables that prioritize overall security, and a passion for enhancing collective security knowledge within Cirium and your team.
5. Understanding that effective security balances well-established frameworks with business success, influencing teams to adopt security practices over time.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across diverse global teams.
