Manager I, Operations, Operations Manager, BLRB

We're seeking an Operations Manager at BLRB. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding and managing operations under the Roof and Out on Road. This is an exciting opportunity where you will lead a team consisting of Team Leads, Station Associates, and Supervisors.

Title: Manager I, Operations

Typical responsibilities will include:

  1. Understanding the business issues and challenges of transportation operations; identifying strengths and weaknesses, and suggesting areas for improvement.
  2. Being data-driven, developing and reporting performance metrics, and identifying opportunities to enhance customer experience.
  3. Developing effective people management skills to lead a team of Team Leads, Station Associates, and Out on Road Associates.

Good to have skills:

  • Proficient data analysis skills in Excel.
  • SQL proficiency is preferred.
  • Flexibility with shifts.

Key job responsibilities:

  • People management, efficiently managing a diverse team.
  • Deriving data-driven actionable insights to improve delivery and customer experience.
  • Proficiency in both UTR and OTR operations.

A day in the life:

Start the day with a Station Gemba, followed by a Daily Business Review (DBR). Communicate with the team on areas needing improvement and develop a plan. Work on daily deliverables while planning Out on Road and Under the Roof capacity for the next cycle or day, engaging with a motivated team. Schedule 1:1 meetings with your reportees or managers to work on feedback.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • At least 1+ years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
