The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Expatriate Tax Manager to join our UK & IrelandIntegrated Mobility team. In this dynamic role, you will lead on advising clients across a wide range of international mobility matters, manage complex global tax projects, and deliver outstanding service to some of the world’s most prominent organisations. Y ou’ll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, supporting both inbound expatriates to the UK and UK outbound assignees. Your responsibilities will include overseeing tax compliance, delivering strategic advisory services, and building trusted client relationships.

As part of a highly collaborative team, you’ll work closely with specialists in personal tax, employment tax, immigration, and reward, providing holistic solutions that help clients manage their globally mobile workforce effectively.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of inbound and outbound expatriate tax clients.
  • Provide expert guidance on international tax compliance, advisory, and mobility strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Lead the delivery of high-quality mobility tax projects, ensuring technical excellence.
  • Collaborate across EY’s service lines and global teams to identify new mobility opportunities.
  • Proactively drive business development, identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members, shaping the future of the practice.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory and technological developments, helping to innovate our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience in expatriate tax, mobility compliance, and tax advisory.
  • Strong technical skills with a keen eye for detail and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to engage clients at all levels.
