As the Manager, Global Logistics Operations, you will be joining PlayStation's Global Supply Chain Operations Organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build a comprehensive understanding of PlayStation’s global operations, focusing on delivering PlayStation products on time and in full to our diverse customer base. This highly operational role requires the ability to deliver solutions that improve the fulfillment capabilities of the supply chain in alignment with sales plans.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership of the team managing all day-to-day, weekly, and monthly logistics operations activities across the Americas and EMEA, currently comprising 4 Regional Logistics Operations Managers, split as 2 in the US and 2 in EMEA.
- Ownership of complex global logistics operational activities across diverse regions, supporting inbound delivery of goods to production and distribution facilities, and outbound to B2B and B2C customers.
- Serve as the escalation and strategic point of contact for regional logistics activities for both internal teams and external service providers.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations, Warehousing, Planning, and Security leaders to develop, optimize, and deliver transportation plans.
- Develop and manage best-in-class logistics standards and practices, focusing on process improvement and automation where feasible.
- Manage logistics service provider networks, overseeing transport activities via road, sea, air, and multimodal options globally.
- Define and execute strategic roadmaps to improve safety, quality, defect reduction, and cost efficiency.
- Identify network improvement opportunities and develop plans for waste reduction and efficiency enhancement with a customer-facing perspective.
- Support exception management, working with logistics providers to resolve issues rapidly and develop long-term improvement strategies.
- Coordinate with Managed Service Providers for transportation bookings and planning, including NPI and high-risk activities.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure capacity planning and proactive carrier management.
- Utilize global logistics systems to ensure SLA achievement, process compliance, and exception tracking.
- Act as primary point of contact for assembly planning, commercial, and warehouse operations.
- Track and manage exceptions and respond to track & trace requests.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, 3PL management, or fulfillment operations.
- Broad knowledge of transportation modes, especially sea, road, and air, inbound and outbound across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
- Leadership experience managing a global team is essential.
- Extensive experience managing transportation providers and 3PL/4PL logistics models across EMEA.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations, preferably within the consumer-packaged goods or video game industry.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, SAP BO, SAP IBP).
- Experience with TMS and managing 4PL transport management partners.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus.
