Job description

In this role as the Manager, FP&A for Product Margin Planning, you will own and enhance our Full-Price retail margin planning processes, supporting strategic initiatives, and driving end-to-end margin visibility across the business. You will partner closely with Planning, Sourcing, and wider Finance teams to ensure robust forecasting, insightful analysis, and continuous improvement in margin performance.

You will:

  1. Own FP retail margin planning, incorporating product mix, changes to product cost, and strategic targets.
  2. Collaborate with Planning to ensure initiatives are reflected in margin roll-ups as part of the budget and forecast cycles.
  3. Monitor and challenge seasonal margin roll-ups and underlying assumptions.
  4. Conduct Open-to-Buy analysis to highlight margin risks.
  5. Perform variance analysis between procurement and achieved margins.
  6. Build and maintain FP retail margin reporting to support month-end variance analysis.
  7. Contribute to the development of gross margin models and presentations to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) a plus.
  • Significant experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong focus on Gross Margin analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in global and multi-channel retail is a strong plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis systems (e.g., Oracle Hyperion, SAP BPC, Anaplan) desirable.
  • Proven FP&A experience, ideally within retail, fashion, or consumer goods.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with a commercial mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
