Position Summary

This role involves responsibility and support for Pre-Opening Finance within EMEA, focusing on the Middle East markets, as well as overseeing finance projects, systems, reports, and learning & development activities across EMEA. It also includes supporting corporate finance teams and hotels with ongoing activities and ad hoc projects.

What will I be doing?
Pre-Opening Finance:
  • Manage the entire finance pre-opening phase of hotel openings in the Middle East & Africa, collaborating with the pre-opening operations team and owner’s representatives.
  • Coordinate and schedule the induction program for the hotel finance team.
  • Monitor pre-opening budget expenditures before and after the hotel finance team arrives on site.
  • Coordinate system implementations and setups (Back Office, Propplan, Affiliated, OA, etc.).
  • Own and monitor the pre-opening checklist for finance team recruitment and post-arrival achievement.
  • Support the hotel team in delivering the first operational budget, including validation and sign-off processes.
  • Ensure internal processes are in place before hotel opening.
Learning & Development, Performance Management, and Support:
  • Manage EMEA hotel learning and development programs and strategies.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across EMEA.
  • Lead projects to identify and realize margin improvement opportunities.
  • Design analysis tools and report on profit improvement initiatives like productivity analysis and benchmarking.
  • Conduct ad hoc project analysis and evaluations.

  • Management or supervisory experience, preferably in hotel finance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
