This position is responsible to building a top-notch finance and accounting team, ensuring revenues and expenses stay in balance, overseeing FP&A (financial planning & analysis) functions, making recommendations on mergers and acquisitions, obtaining funding, working with department heads to analyses financial data and craft budgets, attesting to the accuracy of reports and consulting with boards of directors and business head on strategy.
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the organization's financial activities. (Financial Planning, Fund Management, Internal Investment & external credit Facilities Etc.)
- Financial Planning in alignment with corporate strategy (Short term, long term)
- Preparing Financial Model & Forecasting of company financial health.
- Insure of scenario planning, stress testing and rolling forecasts to manage liquidity and fund allocation efficiently.
- Monitor cash inflow /outflow and optimal utilization of fund.
- Assess financial Risks and recommend strategies to mitigate potential impacts of profitability .
- Meeting revenue and earnings goals and keeping cash flow stable.
- Strong Knowledge of banking Loan (Short Term Loan, Long Term Loan, lease Finance, Project Finance, Term Loan, Funding Finance / Non-Funding Finance-BG, APG, PG Etc.)
- Facilitating negotiation of bank loan terms between customers and banks/financial institutions.
- Manage treasury operation (including liquidity and trade financing)
- Manages & Coordination personnel and develops finance & Accounts support staff. Guides in selecting skilled staff for the finance & Accounts team and works with departments to allocate budget for human capital management.
- Formulates all financial policies, practices and procedures.
- Ensure that customer payments are made in full and on time and control expenses so that enough cash is on hand to meet financial obligations.
- Attest MIS reports including balance sheets and P&L (Profit & Loss) and cash flow statements are accurate and complete in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles IFRS & (GAAP).
- Assists Finance & Accounts personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers.
- Act as treasurer and controller of the business and observe day to day financial operations, debts-assets, liabilities.
TEAM LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
- Organize different technical (Finance & Accounting related topics) papers & financial activities for new joiners and management personnel.
- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel.
- Provides knowledge on leadership skills, industry knowledge, personal growth, risk assessment and management.
Strategic & Forecasting Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective financial strategies.
- Budget management with strategic planning, forecasting, and financial oversight to align resources with business goals.
- Provide financial strategy recommendations to BOD and within team.
- Advice department heads across the organization, assisting them in both maximizing revenues, if they serve in a revenue-generating capacity, and controlling expenses without sacrificing customer or employee satisfaction or the company's reputation.
- By using available data and reports, both internal and external, to advise on areas including product development, market expansion, human capital management, M&A and capital investments.
- Forecasts to plan and avail financial stability. They add context to evaluate whether a project will deliver sufficiently robust ROI to be worth the investment.
- Serve in a strategic advisory role for the C-suite peers.
