Manager - Employment Tax - London/Manchester/Scotland/Birmingham

The opportunity:
Joining the Reward Employment Tax team at EY offers opportunities to develop client relationships early in your career and manage comprehensive services. As we aim to expand PAS and achieve our goals, we're seeking a Reward Tax Manager to join our dynamic team.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Deliver employment tax compliance and advice to clients across various industry sectors.
  2. Maintain up-to-date technical, industry, business, and leadership skills, sharing this expertise with others.
  3. Contribute to business development by preparing proposals and delivering presentations to potential clients.
  4. Manage the delivery of complex consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical, business-driven approach.
  5. Build and sustain client confidence.
  6. Identify opportunities to develop new business and strengthen client relationships.
  7. Recognize and manage potential issues during client assignments.
  8. Structure and oversee projects to meet and exceed client expectations while mitigating risks.

About you:

  1. Experience in employment tax within consultancy, legal firms, or large global corporations.
  2. Strong personal impact, resilience, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  3. Technical understanding of key employment tax issues, including expenses and benefits, employment status, payroll, construction industry scheme, termination payments, pensions, minimum wage, HMRC dealings, audits, and equity plans.
  4. Business development skills to identify and convert opportunities.
  5. Proven project management and delivery track record.
  6. Flexible, change-oriented, and professional with credibility and expertise.
  7. Practical problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex issues.
  8. Focus on achieving goals with high-quality, clear, and concise deliverables.
  9. Ability to overcome barriers and facilitate team collaboration and learning.
  10. Skilled in motivating teams and providing constructive feedback.
  11. Ideally, possess ATT and/or CTA qualifications.
