Manager, Demand Generation, Canada, ISV & SMB

We are growing our Demand Generation Sales team and seeking an experienced Sales Leader to help more companies make the move to the AWS cloud. As a Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to drive growth, connect with customers, and shape the future of AWS.

This team supports sales and focuses on customers and prospects across North America. You will partner with sales and marketing stakeholders to lead a team of Outbound Lead Generation Representatives in a high-volume, outbound lead generation environment. Your success will be measured by building a results-driven team that meets activity-based metrics and qualifies new business to achieve sales goals. To ensure success, you will monitor calls to improve qualification, meet response times, identify training opportunities, and, in partnership with sales operations, build reports and dashboards to monitor activities and pipeline. You will also become a subject matter expert in cloud computing solutions and share this knowledge with your team.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Manage the team to exceed qualified lead creation goals.
  2. Manage the team to attain daily activity metrics such as outbound calls, decision maker contacts, and qualified leads.
  3. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of existing and emerging cloud computing technologies to identify customer opportunities.
  4. Train team members on deep prospecting skills.
  5. Develop team members into sales-ready candidates for future sales roles.
  6. Understand customer business issues and how AWS services can address them.
  7. Represent your business in monthly business reviews.

- 10+ years of technology-related sales or business development experience.

- 7+ years of sales management experience managing teams of 10 or more.

- Proven record of developing people and leaders.

- Ability to analyze data and deliver outcomes.

- MBA, BA/BS degree, or relevant experience.

- Experience with CRM systems.

- Proven track record of meeting metrics and quotas.

- Strong leadership and team development skills.

- Experience with targeted campaigns and stakeholder collaboration.

- Data-driven business insights experience.

- Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS is a plus.

- Salesforce.com experience is preferred.
