Manager – Corporate Finance (Debt Advisory), Power & Utilities

Location: UK-wide (Hybrid, with London as central hub)
Salary: Up to £80,000

The Opportunity:

A leading global advisory firm is expanding its Corporate Finance and Debt Advisory offering within the Power & Utilities sector. With the upcoming arrival of a senior investment banker to lead the debt advisory function, this is a rare opportunity to join a reinvigorated, high-impact team at a time of strategic growth and renewed leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day delivery of multiple debt advisory mandates
  • Build and maintain financial and credit rating models to support client decisions
  • Evaluate financing structures and conduct market analysis to inform strategic options
  • Draft client-facing reports, board papers and transaction presentations
  • Contribute to new business development and client engagement with senior stakeholders
  • Stay abreast of developments in capital markets, regulatory frameworks, and credit conditions

Candidate Profile:

Ideal Background-

  • Experience in corporate finance, debt advisory, DCM, or credit ratings
  • Strong interest in the infrastructure or utilities sector — sector experience is a plus but not essential
  • Solid knowledge of corporate finance principles and key credit concepts
  • Comfortable with financial modelling (tested during the interview process)
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to present complex issues clearly to stakeholders

Desirable Qualifications-

  • ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent
