Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in Data Science & AI to lead multidisciplinary teams across assurance, consulting, law, strategy, tax and transactions. You will deliver data science and AI solutions, guiding problem definition to production, and coordinate with senior stakeholders to translate complex challenges into actionable business use cases.

The role can be based in Belfast or Derry/Londonderry and offers opportunities to grow across a global, diverse practice with extensive client exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant experience delivering data science, machine learning or AI solutions.
• Proven experience leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of the analytical lifecycle and practical proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud-based data and AI services and moving solutions into production.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI & ML engagements from problem definition through development and implementation, ensuring each solution addresses a clear business need.
• Work with senior client stakeholders to turn complex challenges into practical analytical use cases and explain the proposed approach in clear business language.
• Provide technical direction across machine learning and generative AI, helping teams build scalable, robust solutions.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to move solutions from experimentation into production, with security and responsible AI considerations.
• Manage delivery plans, budgets, resources and risks while maintaining strong client relationships and high-quality outcomes.
• Drawing on your knowledge and experience, create innovative insights that add value to clients and society.
