Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Manager, CRO Programmes. You will lead the planning, prioritisation and coordination of all CRO and personalisation initiatives across Liverpool FC's digital estate.

The role works closely with the Senior Manager to translate business objectives, behavioural insights and stakeholder requests into a structured pipeline of experiments, ensuring that testing activity aligns with wider commercial and product goals. This position is responsible for maintaining the CRO roadmap, facilitating ideation sessions with product owners and external agencies, and tracking the performance and learnings of all tests.

By providing clear visibility of progress, results and recommendations, the Manager, CRO Programmes helps embed a test-and-learn culture across the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Retail team's conversion optimisation strategy.
  • Manage A/B and multivariate testing roadmap using tools like Dynamic Yield.
  • Stay up to date with e-commerce trends and technologies to enhance user experience.
  • Keep informed on industry best practices via webinars, networking, and vendor updates.
Personalisation
  • Identify user segments and journey areas for optimisation.
  • Create tailored experiences using data and business context.
  • Align Retail personalisation efforts with the Club's digital strategy.
  • Monitor user journeys to identify friction and growth opportunities.
  • Support feature scoping and testing with data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate on bug resolution and store issues with internal and external teams.
Planning, Reporting and Analysis
  • Analyse test results and share insights with teams and leadership.
  • Produce regular performance reports highlighting actionable insights.
  • Maintain accurate marketing activity logs in Google Analytics.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analytics and support board-level reporting.
General
  • Provide informal guidance and strategic input to the Senior Specialist.
  • Promote automation, documentation, and knowledge-sharing.
  • Conduct ad-hoc testing and support smooth test deployment.
  • Manage external agency relationships to ensure quality and brand alignment.

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with proven, recent experience in UX/CRO, digital optimisation, or digital product roles, either agency or client-side. Ideally, you'll bring e-commerce experience-preferably within a sport or lifestyle brand-and a passion for digital innovation.

You should have a working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to confidently brief developers and understand technical constraints. A strong instinct for good UX/UI and conversion drivers is essential, along with the ability to assess user journeys and collaborate with external design teams to ensure they resonate with a global fanbase.

You'll be comfortable interpreting analytics using tools like Google Analytics/GA4, heatmaps, and testing platforms such as Dynamic Yield, and have experience managing testing roadmaps via tools like Trello, Jira or GitLab. The role requires excellent communication skills, confidence presenting insights to senior stakeholders, and a balance of creative and analytical thinking.

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week. Your main base will be our City Centre Office, Chapel Street, Liverpool. To reward your hard work and commitment we offer a competitive salary, 25 days holiday (plus 8 bank holidays and the option to purchase up to an additional 5 days) and a contributory pension scheme.

You will have access to our benefits kit bag where you can get high street discounts, and a selection of benefit schemes you can join. There are opportunities to get involved with volunteering through our LFC Foundation to give back to the local community.

At Liverpool Football Club, we have an unwavering commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and are always looking to making a positive difference in the communities that we operate within.
