Data Science Department - Manager of Core Pricing

We are seeking a Manager to lead the quant team responsible for the overall performance of pre-match bet-builder pricing models. The role will be based in Athens or London.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the team in building and maintaining pricing models.
2. Create model prototypes and communicate these clearly for implementation; mentor the team on best practices.
3. Coordinate with Data Science, Product, Engineering, and Trading teams to integrate models into production.
4. Establish testing standards for pricing accuracy and technical performance.
5. Ensure coding principles are followed and modeling processes are well documented.
6. Create annual roadmaps with milestones to monitor progress.
7. Collaborate with product owners and developers to move projects from idea to implementation.
8. Communicate key model elements to clients.
9. Report workflow and findings to the Director of Data Science and share insights with the team.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have:

• At least 3+ years of experience as a Quant or Data Scientist in the betting industry.
• A postgraduate qualification in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Advanced programming skills in R or Python, C# or Java, and SQL.
• Experience with various modeling techniques such as Probability Distributions, GLMs, Monte Carlo Simulations, Bayesian Inference, and Time-Series Analysis.
• A strong interest in developing sports forecasting models.
• Experience with version control platforms like GitHub, Gitlab, or Bitbucket.

Desirable:

• Experience managing a Data Science team.
• PhD in a quantitative field.
• Experience with supervised, unsupervised, or reinforcement learning methodologies.
• Knowledge of database management tools.
• Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau, Qlik Sense, or R-shiny.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
