As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the safety and quality of work performed within the construction department while managing construction efforts of in-house and contract labor for new construction, maintenance, and rebuild projects. You will also be responsible for achieving the budgeted financial objectives of the Construction Department.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Construction work experience of at least five years, leadership experience of at least three years
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience; technical training in cable construction techniques and design preferred; industry and vendor-specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E); valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record within company standards
• Technical Skills: Ability to manage emergencies and rapidly changing priorities; effectively direct work activities under all conditions; use hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers; knowledge of basic mathematics and electronics; knowledge of National Electric Code and National Electrical Safety Code; ability to read system layouts from blueprints; operate machinery for cable installation
• Abilities: Ability to read, write, and speak English; prioritize and organize effectively; perform cable connections; operate test equipment; work from high places; walk over all terrains in all weather conditions while carrying tools; safely use weight-bearing equipment; measure distances; climb poles and ladders; differentiate wire sizes and colors; operate relevant computer/test equipment; perform tasks from high places; dig in various soils; work standing 50-70% of the time
• Skills: Ability to work independently; supervise and motivate others; maintain confidentiality; manage multiple projects; proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management experience of at least two years
• Experience in finance and budgeting
