Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Manager – CONC Compliance in Leeds. The role supports non-financial risk management and regulatory adherence across CONC and Consumer Duty within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in CONC and Consumer Duty compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks and industry standards.
  • Ability to analyse data and support risk reporting and oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Conduct & Compliance Risk support and help deliver customer, business and strategic outcomes.
  • Analyse the Conduct & Compliance Risk using diverse sources to inform policies and appetite.
  • Prepare documentation and summarise data for ongoing monitoring and risk reporting.
  • Develop key risk indicators and KPIs to monitor risk appetite and policy.
  • Contribute to data-led risk control objectives to meet needs of risk owners and regulators.
  • Support implementation of control measures to achieve defined objectives.
  • Assist in managing actions on Conduct & Compliance Risk events and breaches.

JOB TITLE: Manager – CONC Compliance

SALARY: £67,023 - £74,470

LOCATION(S): Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Chester, Edinburgh, Halifax

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

This means we’ve changed how we do risk management, providing support aligned to our risk and control owners to deliver great customer outcomes. We’re looking for a Manager in the Unsecured Lending Conduct & Compliance Team to support the Group in adhering with all core regulatory requirements relating to CONC and the Consumer Duty. Not only will you bring significant compliance experience, but we’re looking for someone innovative and transformational who loves proactively working with business executives to develop new opportunities to better meet customers’ needs. You’ll provide insightful, high-quality analysis and evaluation of the Conduct & Compliance Risk and control environment in alignment with the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Risk and Control owner teams to provide Conduct & Compliance Risk support and help deliver against aligned customer, business and strategic outcomes.
  • Analyse and assess the Conduct & Compliance Risk and control environment using a wide range of sources to support the design and implementation of risk policies and appetite.
  • Organise and prepare supporting documentation, while also gathering and summarising data and information, to enable the ongoing monitoring and reporting of the Group’s exposure relative to risk appetite.
  • Assist with the identification and development of key risk indicators and key performance indicators to enable appropriate monitoring of appetite and policy.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of effective, ongoing data-led Conduct & Compliance Risk control objectives to meet the needs of risk and control owners, control specialist teams, Audit and external regulators.
  • Support control owners and specialists to implement control measures that are designed to achieve the control objectives.
  • Support the delivery of a risk and control oversight plan to assess compliance of relevant laws, regulations, industry standards and/or established controls.
  • Assist in the management of actions on Conduct & Compliance Risk events and breaches following Risk & Control Self-Assessment.

What you’ll need - 3 to 5 years’ experience of:

  • Technical Knowledge – A strong record as a technical expert in CONC and Consumer Duty compliance.
  • Compliance Frameworks – A good understanding of the latest Compliance frameworks and technology being used across financial and non-financial services.
  • Good knowledge of relevant laws, regulation, industry standards and established best practice in technical discipline.
  • Data & Analytics – Ability to understand and assimilate different sources of data and complex information to support with effective problem solving that leads to relevant conclusions and recommendations.
  • Leverage strong analytical skills to assess Conduct & Compliance control environment effectiveness using a wide range of information and sources to identify potential impacts on the business.
  • Reporting – Experience in leading the production of timely and accurate reporting to support the monitoring of risk policies and appetite.
  • Able to develop and deliver a risk and control oversight plan to assess compliance with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards and/or established controls, reporting findings and deviations using concise and clear communications, managing escalations appropriately.
  • Policy – Experience of developing and owning group-level policy and setting risk-appetite, with expertise in continuous monitoring and reporting on group exposure.
  • Advisory – Able to demonstrate depth to confidently provide challenge and advice to the business.
