Roles and Responsibilities:

Sitting within the Commercial Strategy Deal Structuring team within the COO Office, this role has a focus on partnership deal structuring, working towards facilitating business efficiency and long-term market share & revenue growth.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Support and coordinate incoming partnership licensing opportunities – which will be led by a Partner Manager - from conceptualisation/initiation to launch, ensuring the opportunities are Partnership Functional Model (PFM) policy-compliant, commercially sound and clearly framed and detailed, in conjunction with feedback from Propositions, Partner Practices, and Sales & Account Management (SAM).
  • As part of the above, support commercial and contractual consistency for relevant partnerships and to ensure PFM conformity to the greatest extent practical - this includes hands-on drafting of the business/commercial terms of service agreements.
  • Collaborate with SAM, Partnerships Team counterparts, and Commercial Strategy (particularly PRDF) to dynamically analyse partnership opportunities vs. the PFMs and so continuously validate the PFMs and related D&A policies against market demand, TPP constraints, and D&A’s commercial best interest.
  • Contribute to the intermittent review and analysis of (i) partnership onboarding, and (ii) ongoing support of Partners across Propositions, including in conformity with D&A’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) product/commercial launch & obsolescence framework and in conjunction with the Partners Analytics team where relevant.
  • Act as an advocate for partners within D&A in support of the onboarding and approval process for new and evolving partnerships

Skills required or strongly desired for the Role:

  • Appropriate qualifications and experience
  • Commercial and 3rd party engagement experience – ideally directly in data/IP licensing
  • Operational experience – you will have an operationally focused, analytical attitude with an ability to see a deal through to success (far beyond signing), considering logistics and the required outcome throughout implementation.
  • Experience analysing and implementing partnership strategies
  • Experience within the financial information services industry and / or management consultancy
  • Effective collaborator management skills
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in building processes and frameworks
  • Experience in contractual negotiations

Essential Skills:

  • Able to translate practical information product and usage circumstances into a licensing context
  • Critical thinking, inquisitiveness, and ability to clearly but constructively identify concerns in a group setting, as applicable
  • Ability to think deeply and quantitatively about business problems, providing well balanced assessment and solutions
  • Solid understanding of D&A product and operational environment
  • Proficient working in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Basic presentation skill

What You’ll Get In Return:

You will get exposure to the breadth of the D&A products and services and the groups that support them. Our customer group includes Proposition, Rights Management, Product Launch, Contract Strategy, Legal and Operations. You will be driving success through relationships and partnership which will build trust, improve your credibility within the organisation. You will learn to maintain effective working relationships with a range of people at all levels in the organisation, often in virtual teams spread across multiple time zones. You will use communication skills and become comfortable communicating and advancing key issues and requests to senior partners. You will have the support of the extended team to help you reach your goals. We recognise that to attract the best talent, we need to be flexible, and we are open to discussing work arrangements with you. We take hybrid approach to workplace, this role is Blended.
