The EY Pensions Investment Team is expanding and growing. Our growth plans extend across Trustee and Corporate, as well investment consulting clients globally out with the UK. We are looking for self-starting, diligent individuals from a consultancy or accounting firm who can contribute to our growth plans, with a particular focus on leadership candidates to push ahead the next of growth.

The Opportunity

We are now looking to grow our pensions investment consulting business. In order to achieve this growth, we are looking for quality individuals with core pensions and investment knowledge and who have demonstrable experience of working with and building trusted relationships including CFOs of corporate sponsors, pension managers, trustees and pension providers.

This is an opportunity to be heavily involved in shaping the wider EY investment consulting propositions as it incorporates strategic investment advice to a wide range of clients including Trustees, Corporates and global investment clients.

Responsibilities and Requirements

We are seeking individuals with expertise in the following areas:

  • Strategic investment advice including understanding of different investment governance and implementation models
  • Experience in advising Trustees as well as Corporate Sponsors
  • Good understanding of end-game solutions including both run-on strategies and risk transfer solutions
  • Managing client relationships and leveraging the wider team capabilities to enhance client experience
  • Good experience at contributing to overall team growth by building on relationships and or developing new ones.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Be the lead contact and advisor on a number of key clients, responsible for the delivery of work and relationship with clients
  • Be a key contributor to the investment teams market views, identifying opportunities for clients
  • Managing client teams and projects, ensuring efficiency and delegating work effectively
  • Providing support to the senior management team with marketing initiatives and new market opportunities
  • Building effective relationships in the market and within the EY network
  • Helping develop team members through mentoring, feedback and training

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Have a passion for providing outstanding client service and quality client advice
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Previous experience of working in a consulting environment and a strong understanding of how to build client relationships
  • Be a self-starter, with can-do attitude and energy who is willing to try new things
  • Enjoy working with people from range of backgrounds and disciplines
  • Deep knowledge and experience of the UK pensions environment
  • Have good commercial awareness
  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity
  • Be comfortable with complexity and ambiguity and recognises the world is changing and will continue to change
