Job description
Job Purpose

We are looking for a dynamic Manager, Accounts Reporting & Documentation who will oversee Head Office accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate transaction recording, cost analysis, and timely reporting to support management decisions. The role includes managing cost allocation, maintaining financial documentation, and ensuring the security of all records in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. Additionally, the position provides audit support, addresses observations, and implements corrective actions to strengthen financial controls and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, approve, and oversee daily transactional journals, fixed asset transactions, and departmental accounts at the Head Office, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and submit Head Office financial accounts, reports, and periodic budget variance analyses to management and the accounts consolidation team.
  • Analyze departmental costs, cost recovery, and financial performance to support informed management decision-making.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments and programs to resolve financial issues and provide necessary information and support.
  • Verify cost allocation and supporting documentation, ensuring correct coding, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Plan, implement, and maintain systematic financial document management practices, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and security of records.
  • Prevent unauthorized access and misuse of financial records, safeguarding sensitive financial information.
  • Provide timely support for internal and external audits, resolve audit observations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Submit formal responses to audit findings and ensure continuous improvement of financial controls and processes.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
