About Our Client

My client is a financial services organisation with offices based in Whiteley, along with 4 other offices in Europe and 2 in the US/Canada.

Job Description

The role involves overseeing resource planning for team members, participating in accounting-related projects, managing, supervising, and developing team members, and maintaining client relationships. The Manager will deputise for the Senior Manager during their absence and support them as needed. Responsibilities, termed 'Defined Business Activities', include:

  1. Supporting the delivery of professional client services internally and externally
  2. Deputising for the Senior Manager when necessary
  3. Managing timely and accurate financial and management reporting
  4. Overseeing VAT and CIS returns
  5. Monitoring service quality and compliance with ISAE 3402
  6. Ensuring financial statements comply with UK GAAP/IFRS standards
  7. Managing stakeholder expectations
  8. Ensuring timely completion of client jobs
People Management
  1. Planning and organizing client portfolios and team schedules
  2. Conducting appraisals and overseeing team performance
  3. Reviewing workload and resource allocation
  4. Supervising team activities and procedures
  5. Managing time management and prioritization skills within the team
Time Management
  1. Prioritizing workflow for self and team
  2. Addressing matters promptly
Compliance and Risk Management
  1. Supporting adherence to organisational policies and managing accounting risks
  2. Understanding and supporting AML compliance
