Job summary

ViiV Healthcare in London is seeking an Access to Medicines Manager to drive the operational delivery of access programmes across low- and middle-income countries, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to expand access to the HIV portfolio.

You will design and deliver access strategies, manage day-to-day programme delivery with supranational bodies, governments and health programmes, and build relationships with global health stakeholders to enable sustainable access.

Qualifications

• Degree in health sciences, public health, international development or a related field.
• Experience in HIV, global health partners, health systems and access to medicines in LMICs.
• Experience in operational delivery in global health and commercial settings.
• Experience working with supply chain, regulatory, medical, legal and communications.
• Strong organisational and project-management skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and delivery of access strategies and programmes for HIV medicines in LMICs.
• Manage day-to-day delivery of access programmes and partnerships with supranational organisations, governments and national health programmes.
• Coordinate demand and supply planning for priority medicines in target markets, ensuring forecasting and routes to supply are appropriate.
• Build and maintain relationships with global health stakeholders, including policy makers, governments, NGOs, donors and implementation partners.
• Collaborate with Government Affairs, Policy and Access, and cross-functional teams to support programme delivery.
• Support internal and external engagement on access activities with Global Communications.
• Oversee community organisation partnerships and grants to align with access priorities and programme objectives.

As Access to Medicines Manager, you will help turn this commitment into action by driving the operational delivery of impactful access programmes and partnerships across low- and middle-income countries. Working at the intersection of global health, strategy, partnerships and delivery, you will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to expand access to ViiV’s current and future HIV portfolio — shaping practical, sustainable solutions that can make a real difference for people living with and affected by HIV.

Job Profile

You will support the design and delivery of access to medicines strategies and programmes for ViiV Healthcare across low- and middle-income countries. You will work with internal functions and external partners to enable sustainable access to ViiV’s HIV portfolio and to support the implementation of agreed access plans and partnerships.

This role is a full-time position, however there is potential for a job share with two people working 3 days per week each. Please make it clear in your application, if you wish to be considered as a part-time employee.

In this role you will

• Contribute to the development and delivery of access strategies and programmes for ViiV medicines in low- and middle-income countries.
• Manage day-to-day delivery of agreed access programmes and partnerships, working with supranational organisations, governments and national health programmes.
• Coordinate demand and supply planning for priority medicines in target markets, ensuring accurate forecasting and appropriate routes to supply.
• Build and maintain relationships with global health stakeholders, including policy makers, governments, NGOs, donors and implementation partners.
• Work closely with Government Affairs, Policy and Access, and other cross-functional teams (e.g. commercial, regulatory, medical, legal, manufacturing, supply chain) to support effective programme delivery.
• Work with Global Communications to support internal and external engagement on access to medicines activities.
• Provide oversight of community organisation partnerships and grants to ensure alignment with access priorities and programme objectives.

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

• Degree in health sciences, public health, international development or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in HIV, global health partners, health systems and access to medicines in low- and middle-income countries.
• Experience in operational delivery in global health and commercial settings.
• Experience of working with key business functions such as supply chain, regulatory, medical, legal and communications.
• Experience managing multiple priorities with strong organisational and project-management skills.
• Experience collaborating across diverse cultures and organisations with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in complex matrix environments and managing multiple stakeholder relationships.

Preferred Skills

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

• Postgraduate degree in business, health policy, public health, international development or a related field.
• Experience working with supply chain processes or partners.

Work Arrangements

• This role is in line with performance with choice, so minimum 2 days/week working in GSK HQ.
