Boskalis Subsea Services in Aberdeen is recruiting for a Management Reporting Controller to lead monthly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting within the finance function.

You will work closely with the Finance Shared Service Centre and the Financial Controller to deliver accurate information and drive process improvements using digital tools and AI.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the energy sector.
• University-level degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional qualifications ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
• Excellent analytical and variance analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/financial reporting/consolidation systems.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of the month-end reporting cycle, including preparation of reporting deliverables.
• Oversee preparation of financial results, ensuring reporting accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare monthly reporting packs, analysis and commentary for management and Boskalis Group.
• Coordinate annual budget cycle and monthly forecasting process.
• Consolidate and analyze forecast submissions from stakeholders.
• Support implementation and development of finance systems.
• Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify and automate finance processes using digital tools and AI.
• Act as key finance contact for reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Provide support and guidance to finance colleagues.

Job Description

Make your mark as Management Reporting Controller at Boskalis Subsea Services in Aberdeen. You will be responsible for the delivery of monthly financial reporting and the coordination of budgeting and forecasting activities across the business.

The role takes ownership of the month-end reporting process, working closely with finance colleagues and the Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) to deliver accurate and high-quality financial information to management and Boskalis Group.

The position also supports the ongoing development of the finance function through process improvement, systems development and finance transformation initiatives

Your responsibilities as a Management Reporting Controller:

The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to;

• Take ownership of the month-end reporting cycle including preparation of reporting deliverables.
• Oversee the preparation of financial results and ensure reporting accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare monthly reporting packs, analysis and commentary for management and Boskalis Group.
• Coordinate the annual budget cycle and monthly forecasting process.
• Consolidate and analyze forecast submissions from stakeholders.
• Support implementation and ongoing development of finance systems
• Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify and automate finance processes, leveraging digital tools and AI to improve the efficiency, quality and effectiveness of finance processes.
• Act as a key finance contact for reporting, budgeting and forecasting matters.
• Provide support and guidance to finance colleagues.

Qualifications

You can make your mark as a Management and Reporting Controller if you have:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience (in a similar role) working in an energy sector environment.
• Educated to University level (Accounting and/or Finance).
• Industry professional Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Strong experience in financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
• Excellent analytical and variance analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel capability in addition to experience using ERP and financial reporting/consolidation systems.
• Strong systems aptitude and ability to adapt to new technologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with Shared Services environments (desirable).
• Working knowledge of Power BI, automation tolls or AI-enabled finance applications (desirable).
