Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching, learning, and assessment with a Level 5 qualification.
  • 3+ years of industry experience and 1 year of delivering apprenticeship standards.

Management Level 5 Apprenticeship Coach

Hours: Full-Time, Permanent, (37.5 hrs per week, Mon-Fri)

Location: Midlands region

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 pa (depending on experience & qualifications)

We are currently recruiting a Management Level 5 Apprenticeship Coach based in the Midlands region.

Nova Training is one of the UK’s most popular and experienced training providers, operating for over 30 years in Study Programmes and Apprenticeships. We operate 13 locations across the West Midlands and East of England, offering a range of programmes including; 16-18 study programmes, pre-apprenticeships, provision for learners with high needs, apprenticeships, and 14-16 alternative provision.

About the role

The post holder will work closely with apprentice learners, coaching them to develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviors, unlocking their potential to maximize performance and achieve their aspirations. You will ensure effective curriculum implementation through preparing schemes of work, lesson, and assessment plans aligned with employer requirements and progression goals.

You will collaborate with employers to understand their business needs and vision for their apprentices. The role involves conducting engaging training, teaching, learning, and coaching sessions via Google Meets, supporting learners through face-to-face visits each quarter to provide training, review progress, and set targets. Additionally, you will conduct End Point Assessment mock visits to ensure learners are gateway ready.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop learners' abilities, knowledge, skills, behaviors, and confidence through coaching, training, and assessment, supporting their ability to work confidently and independently.
  • Plan individual learner journeys aligned with their learning requirements for personal growth and progression.
  • Build strong relationships with apprentices, mentors, line managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation and development of functional skills using the Functional Skills marking strategy, embedding these skills throughout the apprenticeship.
  • Manage and support apprentices and employers in planning and achieving off-the-job training, recorded correctly against the Standard.
  • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning to progress learners to End Point Assessment, adhering to Ofsted/EIF/ESFA criteria.
  • Maximize progression opportunities for learners on standards or traineeships.
Requirements
  • Teaching, learning, and assessment experience. Recognized Level 5 or above in Leadership and Management.
  • At least 3 years of industry occupational competence.
  • 1 year of experience delivering new apprenticeship standards.
  • Assessor qualification (TAQA, D32/D33, or A1) - desirable.
  • Level 2 Maths and English functional skills or equivalent GCSE level.

Full, clean UK Driving License
