A leading healthcare provider in St. Neots is seeking a motivated Management Assistant to ensure the smooth running of Almond Road Surgery. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Management Assistant to join our friendly team at Almond Road Surgery in St Neots. The role is for 22 hours per week. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the practice, supporting both staff and patients.
We are seeking someone who is dynamic, shows initiative, and is proactive in their approach, with the confidence to contribute ideas and support improvements across the practice.
Working alongside the Practice Operations Manager, you will gain valuable experience in practice administration, compliance, and project delivery. From coordinating staff rotas and trainee Doctors onboarding, to helping deliver annual health campaigns and supporting building compliance, no two days will be the same.

The Management Assistant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the practice. Main duties include assisting with staff rotas and absence records, overseeing e-referrals, and supporting the reception team to ensure daily tasks are completed effectively.
The role also involves monitoring compliance requirements, coordinating GP trainee administration, liaising with contractors on building maintenance, helping to deliver annual health campaigns, and monitoring the use of digital tools such as Accurx to support patient access and demand management.
Working alongside the Practice Operations Manager, you will provide flexible support across a wide range of areas to ensure safe, effective and well-organised services for our patients.
Almond Road Surgery is a well-established GP practice in St Neots, caring for a patient population of around 7870. We are a training practice with three GP Partners and a strong history of supporting GP trainees at different stages of their career.
Our core practice team includes Advanced Nurse Practitioners, a Practice Nurse, Health Care Assistant, and Phlebotomists, supported by our long-serving administrative and reception staff who bring valuable experience and continuity to the practice.
Through our Primary Care Network, we also benefit from a wider team including Advanced Care Practitioners, Prescribing Pharmacists, GP Assistants, a Social Link Prescriber, a Health and Wellbeing Coach, and Paramedics. This breadth of expertise allows us to provide high-quality, patient-centred care while supporting staff in their roles.

Practice Administration and Staff Support
Assist with preparation and monitoring of staff rotas, ensuring adequate cover at all times.
Maintain accurate records of staff absences and annual leave.
Support GP trainee onboarding, inductions and associated administrative work.
Oversee ESR updates and monitor staff mandatory training compliance.
Provide support to the reception team, ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently.
Compliance and Governance
Maintain practice compliance records, supporting internal audits and external inspections.
Support with complaints management, ensuring timely responses and accurate logging.
Assist with delivery and monitoring of annual health campaigns.
Support building compliance, including liaison with contractors and coordination of annual maintenance schedules.
Clinical and Patient Access Support
Oversee and support e-referral processes.
Monitor use of Accurx, including the Patient Triage tool, and support clinicians with demand management.
Assist with practice projects and service improvement initiatives.
Other Duties
Undertake any tasks delegated by the Practice Operations Manager to support smooth running of the practice.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, supportive environment.
