We have an exciting opportunity to join the collaborative and friendly Management Accounting team. Working alongside the Finance Business Partner and Assistant Finance Managers, you will assist multiple departments by providing administrative and accounting support.

What you will be doing:
  • Providing administrative and accounting support, including month-end processing, preparing grant claims and audits, creating projects, and housekeeping activities.
  • Running reports, expense transfers, invoicing, and journals.
  • Supporting budget preparation and quarterly forecasts.
  • Supporting Group Leaders and Project Managers.
  • Opportunities to support ad-hoc projects, expanding your knowledge within a finance team undergoing significant change due to a new accounting system.

This role is known internally as 'Finance Technician'.

Experience and Skills:
  • Experience working in a busy, fast-paced finance department.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience working with large data sets.
  • Attention to detail.
  • IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
  • AAT qualified or equivalent.
